Throughout his career, Matt has created a niche expertise in handling complicated multi-tranche equity and debt transactions, specializing in specific capital sources for hotel assets. He has structured and closed more 100+ transactions representing more than $1 billion of commercial real estate.

Prior to joining RobertDouglas, Mr. Dower was a founding member of the National Hotels & Hospitality team at Berkadia, a joint venture of Berkshire Hathaway and Jefferies Financial Group, holding titles of both Managing Director and Director of Operations over his tenure.
A kid from Central NY, Matt now calls the Midwest home. He resides with his wife and 5 crazy but darling children on Chicago’s North Shore.
